The local take
In the Albaicín and around the center you'll find Arab baths, carved-wood ceilings, courtyard houses, the lanes of an old silk market and carmenes, traditional houses with walled gardens and views across to the palace hill. After dark, flamenco plays out in the cave venues of Sacromonte and on newer stages in town. Spring and early summer bring flower-covered crosses, street dancing and a week-long fair.
Beyond the city, the list leans into day trips: thermal springs, canyon hikes with hanging bridges, high-altitude wineries and ancient stone tombs. Museums of archaeology and fine art round it out. Use the chips to filter by landmarks, live events, day trips or hikes, and read the note from our local guides on each stop.
