Albaicín, Granada

"A vast Nasrid palace‑fortress and gardens, often called the eighth wonder of the world."
The Alhambra fortress and ancient palace are Granada’s most renowned feature, spoken about far and wide, and admired by worldwide travelers. Not only famous here, but it's one of Spain’s most visited tourist landmarks. This UNESCO World Heritage Site dates back to the 10th century and remains one of the finest examples of Islamic architecture. Its Nasrid Palaces are the star of the show. Near this complex of royal palaces is the Generalife gardens (and summer palace).
