Seated on one of the crumbled stone seats of the Theater of Dionysus, you can't help but get goosebumps as you imagine the Greek tragedies acted out in this ancient theater. Not to be mistaken for an amphitheater, it’s semi-circle in shape (not oval) and it’s said to be the birthplace of the world’s first-ever theater. Find it on the south slope of the Acropolis. It’s en route to the Parthenon and right near the Acropolis Museum.
