"Late-night Fado jam sessions may unfold spontaneously after the show. No one knows when they’ll start or end, and what happens after dinner service and the “official” performance is always a surprise."
Mesa de Frades is a restaurant and Fado bar inside what used to be an old chapel covered in 18th-century tiles. It’s a popular spot for those who really love this kind of music, as the city’s best musicians often stop in to perform. The menu isn’t extensive but it features meat, fish, and veggie options. One bonus is that Mesa de Frades is open later into the night than most other Fado bars.
