Oltrarno, Florence & Countryside

"In spring, this small, but exquisitely pretty garden, offers a chance to admire Florence’s skyline in the company of blossoming roses. "
If you’re in Florence in spring, a trip to Giardino della Rose is a must. It’s steps away from the famous Piazzale Michelangelo in the city center and serves as a green oasis with beautiful panoramic views. It was created in 1865 and has around 1,200 plants, including around 400 varieties of roses. It was built according to French garden principles but was modified to have an Italian identity.
