This church sits on a hilltop that’s the highest point in Florence. It was completed between the 11th and 13th centuries and is still used as a convent today. It’s surrounded by 16th-century defensive walls that also enclose a cemetery. Hiking up to the top of the hill is a great way to see some of the best views in Florence, like the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazzale Michelangelo.
