Picture yourself watching a film beneath the stars with the Acropolis in the background at Athens’ oldest cinema, i.e., Thision Open Air Cinema. First built in 1935, the family that runs the cinema only opens the facilities during the spring and summer months. Movie screenings are a mixed bunch, ranging from old-school classics in English to more modern blockbusters, as well as foreign language films and movies in Greek.
