Aptly situated two minutes from the actual Acropolis site, visitors can see and learn more about the world-famous archeological site at the Acropolis Museum. This is where all of the artifacts and excavated pieces of evidence are preserved and displayed. Items date as far back as 4,500 years ago. On the ground floor is the Gallery of the Acropolis Slopes, dedicated to the landscape’s topography. Other permanent expos are arranged chronologically, as well as thematically. There are also temporary displays.
