Oaxaca de Juárez

"In this town, you can visit the archaeological site, which is less popular than Monte Albán but still worth exploring as it belongs to the same cultural heritage. In Atzompa, you can also visit the handicraft market."
Aztompa is an archaeological site that’s just eight kilometers west of Oaxaca and is accessible by car or private tour. Experts believe that Aztompa was first established in 650 A.D. It was only first opened to the public in 2012. Even though it’s not as popular as Monte Albán, Aztompa is still an interesting place to learn about the Zapotec culture as you hike the ruins and explore the site.
