Oaxaca de Juárez

"The Ex-Convent of the Dominican Order, located in the town with the same name, is just 30 minutes from the city. It's particularly interesting because it was never completed, leaving the building without a ceiling."
Cuilapam de Guerrero is about 17 kilometers southwest of Oaxaca and is accessible by car or private transport. The town shares its name with a 16th-century ex-convent that belonged to the Dominican Order. The architecture is quite stunning, even though the monastery was never completed, leaving the roof open to the sky. Today, it’s now a museum that visitors can explore for a $65 MXN admission fee.
