Follow the historical footsteps along parts of the renowned Via Francigena — both an ancient pilgrimage route and road, starting in Canterbury, England and ending in Apulia, Italy. A part of it crosses through Tuscany, particularly, from San Quirico d’Orcia to Radicofani. Both Tuscan communes form part of the Province of Siena. The entire stretch is roughly an eight-hour-long walk (totaling 33 kilometers) if following the exact pilgrim route. You’ll be distracted by the beauty of the cypress-dotted Val d'Orcia and medieval villages along the way.
