Music appreciators, if you’re curious to see what sorts of instruments were utilized in Greece over the last couple of centuries, then head to the Museum of Greek Folk Musical Instruments. Set up in a 1842 building in Plaka, the exhibition space is spread across three levels and split into four areas. These four sections are dedicated to Aerophones, Membranophones, Chordophones, Idiophones and Sound-producers. Interestingly, each is grouped according to the instrument’s shape, design, and audio sound. There are visual displays, videos, and audio teachings.
