Not to be confused with the Ancient Agora in Thissio, the Roman Agora in Plaka traces to the 1st century BCE and was funded by none other than Julius Caesar. An agora refers to a public market space. You can, however, reach the other Ancient Agora from here via a connected paved path. The walk is just five minutes. Or, it takes two minutes to drive between both agoras. Two minutes walking distance from the Roman Agora is Hadrian’s Library, so clock both at once.
