7th arrondissement, Paris

"Famous for its Impressionist collection on the fifth floor. Explore the second floor for quieter rooms, hidden Toulouse-Lautrec pieces, Rodin works, and Art Deco interiors."
Inside the former Gare d’Orsay train station on the Seine is one of the largest impressionist collections in the world. The most famous pieces are on the 5th floor, including Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night. While typically crowded, you can reserve a ticket early (or late) to avoid the crowds. There is also a collection of art on the 2nd floor that receives less attention but features impressive artwork and Art Deco design.
