"Great temporary exhibits. In the permanent collection, don’t miss the Art Deco rooms, the jewelry section, and the modern collection on the top floor."
You’re probably familiar with the Louvre, but there is another museum in the same palace worth visiting. Musée des Arts Décoratifs has a collection of around 1.5 million artifacts, including jewelry, furniture, and other historic objects. You can find sketches and a dress from Paul Poiret, a vase dating back to around 3,500 BC, and the Boscoreale Treasure (an assortment of items recovered in the Pompeii ruins).
