Hanoi

"After a boat ride on the Yen stream, you will reach a complex of pagodas and Buddhist shrines built into the limestone cliffs of Hương Sơn. If you love festivals, come during Tet (Jan-March)."
Huong Tich Mountain is about 60 kilometers south of Hanoi. To get there, you need a combination of driving, boat rides, and then walking, which is part of the experience. Because of this, consider hiring a guide to organize your travel. The mountain is the site of the Huong (also known as the Perfume) Pagoda, a Buddhist complex that dates back to the 15th century. Many Vietnamese tourists make pilgrimages here from February to April, when it’s the busiest.
