The Hanoi Beer Festival takes place every winter at the Quần Ngựa Sport Palace in the Ba Dinh district in either November or December. For just $2 USD, you can sample six cups of beer, especially Hanoi Beer, a local specialty. It's also a gastronomic event where festival-goers can try a variety of tasty snacks and foods. You must be 18 or older to enter, so children aren't allowed.
