Ba Đình, Hanoi

"Quiet, but truly worth visiting. If you want to avoid the crowd from Hoa Lo prison, you can visit this museum to gain a great understanding of Vietnam history from the 1960s-1970s."
Hanoi's B52 Victory Museum isn't large, but it's full of history. Admission is free, and a visit provides insight into Hanoi's defense against U.S. airstrikes in December 1972, an event called "Điện Biên Phủ in the air." There are two exhibition areas to see here, an indoor space filled with narrations, photos, models, and exhibits, and an outdoor space showcasing weapons, military equipment, and aircraft used by both sides.
