Known as the center of the Ancient Greek world, Delphi was where the high priestess Pythia (known then as the Oracle of Delphi) conveyed the messages of the god Apollo to humans. The Omphalos is the most important artifact of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the stone represents the ‘navel of the world.’ It’s located at the famous Temple of Apollo.
