Ciutat Vella, Valencia

"The impressive gate of Valencia’s Christian Wall is a symbol of the city. From Torres de Serranos, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the city center and Turia Park!"
One of Valencia's most recognizable monuments is the gate to the old medieval Christian walls called Torres Serranos de València. Construction began in 1392 under the architect Pere Balaguer. The walls were knocked down in 1865, but the Torres Serranos were saved. Today, the gate is an important part of the Las Fallas celebration in March, as it's where the Queen of Valencia calls for the festivities to begin.
