"Unique in Portugal, open to the public for morning exercises (Monday to Friday at 11 a.m. and noon). Riders wear period costumes."
The Portuguese Equestrian Art School is something unique to Portugal and is far from your ordinary horse-riding arena. Instead, this local institution has been devoted to the traditions and art of all things equestrian since it was founded in 1726! In fact, it’s considered one of the four most prestigious and important classical riding schools across the globe. It’s open to the public for morning exercises during the weekdays, and its professional riders still wear period costumes. It’s as authentic as ever.
