Pablo Picasso spent many years in Barcelona, and this museum features more than 4,520 pieces of his work. There’s so much to see that the museum is housed in five interconnected palacios in El Born that date back to the 13th century. In addition to Picasso, you’ll find temporary exhibitions highlighting works by other artists. You must book your tickets ahead of time, even on free admission days (including the first Sunday of each month), as this is one of the city’s most popular museums.
