Peñíscola is a beautiful village 143 kilometers north of Valencia on the sparkling Mediterranean coast. When you arrive, walk up the hill to see the Castillo de Papa Luna, a medieval castle and fortress set on a rocky outcrop. From there, wander the winding streets and take in the views of the whitewashed houses with colorful shutters and all of the unique shops and restaurants. You might recognize Peñíscola, as some scenes from Game of Thrones were shot here.
