"Once the villa of one of Florence’s most influential families, the park offers a beautiful link between the city and the countryside around it. Personally, it’s one of my go-to spots when I am looking for some peace and quiet."
The powerful and influential Strozzi family bought this property in the 16th century as a place to build their home. In the 19th century, Prince Ferdinando Strozzi decided to add to the estate and created a carriageway, an English-style park, and a shady wooded area. You can choose different routes to discover different points of interest throughout the estate, including the botanical, scientific, and memory paths.
