"I’m always captivated by the simplicity and elegance of Cycladic art. The Museum of Cycladic Art showcases some of the most unique sculptures and aspects of everyday life in Ancient Greece. I always enjoy exploring them."
Cycladic art refers to small marble figurines and vessels, as well as bronze tools found across the Prehistoric to the early Byzantine period. The Museum of Cycladic Art houses one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of Cycladic art. Through these, the stories of Minoan Crete and Mycenaean Greece’s earliest structures unfold. You’ll also get to understand the ‘birth of the ancient city’ and ‘the creation of the first Mediterranean empires.’ Audiovisuals, 3D illustrations, and explanatory texts supplement displays.
