Byzantine and Christian Museum

From 19th-century crucifixes to 16th-century paintings, the Byzantine and Christian Museum houses religious antiquities, artwork, and items relating to Early Christianity and the Byzantine Empire. This also includes the Medieval, post-Byzantine, and later periods. Spaced across various levels, items are displayed in glass cabinets, paintings across walls, and sculptural works standing on pillars. Three themed exhibits are in the museum’s garden. Feel free to sit outside beneath the fruit trees or at its cafe.
