Ciutat Vella, Valencia

"A great small museum that delves into the history of the first civilizations in the Valencia area—highlighting their culture, art, and economy."
This small museum in the historic center focuses on the cultures and civilizations that have lived in Valencia for more than 8,000 years. The collection starts with rooms filled with Paleolithic artifacts, moves to the Neolithic era, and eventually onto the Metal Ages. It's one of Spain's most complete pre-history museums and contains artifacts like fossils, human bones, coins, mosaics, and pottery. Admission is free.
