Le Marais, Paris

"This is the house of the most famous French writer. It’s a quick, and you can even enjoy a coffee in the garden."
Any die-hard fans of Les Misérables in the house? Step inside the world of the man who conjured up one of the most famous French plays of all time at Maison Victor Hugo. Enjoy a guided tour of the playwright’s former home, where he lived from 1832 to 1848, or wander around on your own (it’s free entry). Now a museum, one of the standout rooms is the Chinese embellished one, and there’s also an original sculpture by Auguste Rodin. There’s a temporary exhibition as well, but this is paid entrance.
