Lucignano’s interesting shape deems this medieval town super fascinating, with its fortified walls built in an elliptical shape (which is slightly more pulled out at the edges compared to an oval). If there’s one dish to try that Lucignano is famous for, it’s scotiglia: a tomato-based mixed-meat stew, usually accompanied by grilled bread. Town buildings (which are lovely for photographing) are a combination of pastel facades, ancient stone bricks, and church fronts with vertical inlays.
