Two of the most interesting sites in Gandia are the Ducal Palace and the Cotalba Monastery. You can explore the palace — the former home of the Borgia family — independently or with a guide. Just outside Gandia is El Monasterio de Sant Jeroni de Cotalba, one of the best-preserved monasteries in Valencia. You'll see all sorts of Moorish, Gothic, baroque, and neoclassical architectural features, not to mention romantic gardens.
