Oltrarno, Florence & Countryside

"The Palatine gallery is definitely a world-class museum, with masterpieces from Raphael, Titian, Giorgione, Rubens, and Caravaggio, just to name a few. If this isn’t enough, the art collection is displayed in the spectacular ducal palace of the Medici family."
The Galleria Palatina is on the first floor of the Palazzo Pitti in the city center. It used to be the residence of the powerful Medici family and then hosted the Italian king from 1865 to 1919. The Habsburg-Lorraine family founded this museum in the 18th century, and it currently has more than 500 works by artists like Caravaggio, Rubens, Raphael, Tintoretto, and Titian.
