"A hidden gem steeped in history, known to only a few, located in one of the oldest areas of Mexico City. It’s believed to have been founded as a small village around 800 A.D., predating the Teotihuacan pyramids."
This underrated place dates back to around 800 BCE, predating the famous Teotihuacan. During your visit, take a walk around the ruins, which include a large circular pyramid. A small museum on-site provides context and displays artifacts found during excavations. Be sure to check out the nearby lava fields, remnants of the Xitle volcano eruption.
