The local take
It usually begins by the Guadalquivir, where riverside terraces in El Arenal fill up for a first drink at sunset, or on hotel rooftops looking out over the old town. From there, people drift toward cocktail bars with playful menus, quirky local haunts decorated with Holy Week imagery, and small alternative bars around Feria and Alfalfa where the soundtrack runs from eighties pop to indie.
Flamenco has a place in the night too, in relaxed bars where the performance comes with your drink. Clubs open late and go until morning, from dressier spots in the center to indie and LGBTQ+-friendly dance floors. Every bar below has a note from the local guide who picked it, and the chips split the list into bars, cocktail bars, live music and nightclubs.
