Solar Moinho de Vento

From the hung-up legs of cured meat to framed newspaper clippings on the walls, everything from the food to the interiors suits the 16th-century building in which Solar Moinho de Vento is set. Originally a taverna (opening circa 1905), it was then converted into a restaurant in 1950 — where it’s remained ever since. Modeled after a Portuguese cantina, enjoy daily specials like octopus fillets with tomato rice or codfish fritters. Some dishes are only available on certain days of the week.
