Also known as the ‘Festival of the Paper Lanterns,’ Rificolona Festival (September 7) commemorates the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The streets and air become a sea of paper lanterns of all shapes and sizes. Children especially love this festival. On this day, there are also numerous events centered around the festival, from exhibitions to music, various entertainment, games, parties, and parades. Some institutes, like museums, stay open extra late.
