This palace was founded in 1299 but took several centuries to complete. It was designed to be the town hall of Florence, which it remains today. The original design was conceptualized by Arnolfo di Cambio, the same architect who designed the Duomo and Santa Croce. Inside, you'll find beautiful frescoes from a number of Italian painters. Tickets cost €16 and can be booked online.
