Santa Maria Novella, Florence & Countryside

"A well-preserved medieval townhouse where visitors can glimpse Renaissance domestic life through period furnishings, frescoed rooms, and historical artifacts."
Transport yourself to the 14th century at Palazzo Davanzati — once a townhouse now turned into a preserved medieval museum. It’s fascinating to compare what the interiors of the upper class’ homes looked like in comparison to the nobility’s palaces. Touring the rooms and different sections, glimpse furniture, household items, ceramic art and paintings, clothing, fabrics, machinery, and even some rare artifacts from the 14th to the 19th centuries. The house was originally built in the 1300s.
