16th arrondissement, Paris

"Calm, beautiful, and free, with top 20th- and 21st-century artworks. See Dufy’s giant La Fée Electricité, the Art Deco room, Matisse’s Dance, and colorful Delaunay paintings—plus a great Eiffel Tower view."
This museum, across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower, has a collection of artwork from the 20th and 21st centuries. It is home to pieces from Picasso, Braque, and many French artists. There are rotating exhibits and a permanent collection inside the art deco Palais de Tokyo. A collection of paintings from Sonia and Delaunay is one of the museum’s highlights—this is also where you can find a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower.
