MUHBA Temple d’August
"A must-see with free admission, featuring the oldest surviving ruins from the Roman city."
Barcelona Local

Going back to ancient times, this temple dates back to the 1st century BC when Barcelona was a Roman city called Barcino. It was built on what was then Tàber Hill and was most likely closed when Christian emperors rose to power. Its ancient columns and podium were rediscovered and restored in the 19th century and are now on display for the public, free of charge, in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter.
