Barcelona Local

Granja La Pallaresa is a churrería and chocolatería in Barri Gòtic that first opened in 1947. It was famous for its chocolate suizo (hot chocolate with whipped cream). Today, many folks come in for breakfast or merienda (afternoon snack time) to try fresh Spanish churros that you can dip in a cup of thick chocolate. You can try other local sweets, like ensaïmadas, crema catalana, and arroz con leche.
