El Xampanyet

El Xampanyet is a legendary cava and tapas bar in El Born. Since 1929, this bar has served glasses of local sparkling cava alongside tapas, montaditos (small sandwiches), pintxos, and preserves. The house specialty is the anchovies, but you’ll find a range of meat, fish, and vegetarian items. It’s always crowded and doesn’t accept reservations, so aim for off-peak lunch and dinner hours.
