Diego Rivera Mural Museum

This blink-and-you’ll-miss-it museum in the heart of Mexico City has a singular purpose — to preserve one specific piece by Diego Rivera that was salvaged from a nearby hotel, which collapsed in the 1985 earthquake. The massive mural titled “Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Central” portrays a lively scene from the city’s beloved park. The place itself is pretty small, but it allows for an up-close look at Rivera’s genius.
