If there’s one dish to try from Aviz it has to be the ‘Francesinha’ — a famous Portuguese sandwich that is a Porto original. They have a few different varieties of “Frenchies,” including a vegetarian option. The menu also offers omelets, meat, and fish dishes, salads, toasties, and desserts (go for the cheesecake), and there’s even a special menu for dogs, including doggie snacks. This historical tea room (in Baixa) has been around since 1947, and the original billiards hall is still here if you’re up for a game.
