"Famous for its absinthe, this is one of the oldest bars in Barcelona, once frequented by Picasso and Hemingway."
Barcelona Local

This popular absinthe bar in El Raval was a favorite of artists like Picasso and Hemingway. It dates back to 1820, and its colorful history and traditional décor offer guests a taste of authentic Barcelona. In fact, it was featured in some scenes from Woody Allen's "Vicky Cristina Barcelona." Note that the bar is cash-only. It’s open from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. Sunday to Thursday and until 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
