This shrine in Tokyo's Bunkyo district is dedicated to Sugawara No Michizane, the god of learning and scholars. You’ll often see students here praying for good grades and to pass their exams. The shrine is also famous for its beautiful plum blossom trees that come to life each February. Nature lovers come every year to watch more than 300 trees come into full bloom and add color to the shrine.
