The Utiel-Requena wine region is 88 kilometers west of Valencia and accessible by car or public transport. The area has mountains, vineyards, and impressive nature. Not to mention that people have been making wine here for more than 2,500 years. The main grape is the Bobal varietal, native to Valencia and one of the only places it grows. Several towns are along the official wine route, so you can make several stops.
