Journeying approximately 1.5 hours from Granada brings you to two UNESCO-listed towns in Jaén province: Úbeda and Baeza (located further inland). Baeza is before Úbeda, but these two picturesque cities are only 15 minutes apart. Things feel completely different from Granada, but most especially their Renaissance-rich architecture (reminding one of Italy). Get lost exploring the buildings. Úbeda is renowned for its craftsmanship, including pottery, tapestries, stonework, ceramics, and more. Baeza produces some of Spain’s best olive oil.
