Around the second week of June, this music festival makes Barcelona a techno capital. With prior headliners like Björk and New Order, Sónar has grown so much since 1994 that it’s been divided into two parts: Sónar by Day (at Fira Montjuïc) and Sónar by Night (at Fira Gran Via). It’s even inspired a parallel festival called OFFSónar. Tickets range from €45 day passes to €499 VIP week passes. There is also a Sonar in Lisbon and Istanbul, but this is the original.
