In early October, the Catalan coast becomes home to the world’s first fantasy and horror film festival. Established in 1968, the Sitges Festival features spooky screenings, activities, workshops, and a 400-person zombie parade. Purchase general admission tickets in advance for €11.50. Zombie Walk tickets are available at the festival and include professional makeup. Terror-ific activities aside, Sitges is still a buzzing beach town worth the 35-minute ride from Barcelona!
