Asakusa, Tokyo

"A third-generation, family-owned traditional kaiseki restaurant, featuring a pond with Nishikigoi carp and a beautiful Japanese garden."
Founded in 1959, Ichimatsu is a fine-dining kaiseki restaurant in Asakusa. Three generations have run this restaurant and use geisha servers as part of its entertainment. The building is based on traditional architecture, and the décor follows suit. The menu changes each month to highlight fresh, seasonal ingredients. Reservations are required, especially if you would like a geisha server.
